Bluebonnet Mini Sessions 2014, Temple TX

2014's Texas Bluebonnet Season was almost looking like a non-event... and then we got some great rain and they started sprouting up!  I used a field in Temple, TX - we were able to get two looks, one with a blanket of flowers and one with more green.  If you're reading this Lupe - you're still my hero for showing me this hidden little bluebonnet paradise!

How great is my little A-Frame DIY Tent?!  The papa in the photos near the bottom helped me with the wood working and I sewed an easy muslin cover for it.  I'm so excited to have this available for sessions!

I can't say enough about the Texas Bluebonnet Sightings Facebook page and accompanying website, www.bluebonnetlove.com.  The folks that run these pages keep past history of places and dates of sightings and categorize them by private, public, parking available, safety, etc.  I suggest checking out their page for your best estimates of when and where you'll find bluebonnets for 2015.

First up, are these two cute little smiley boys - you'll remember them from a birthday boy session I did for the oldest in Salado earlier this year.  I always encourage my moms to come prepared to get in the photos - they always do and they always jump in for some photos that their children will treasure some day.

Next up is this sweet little girl and her lovely mom.  I swear I took about 400 pictures of her because I couldn't get enough of her pretty blue eyes!

And my last session... ok I love this family!  I've photographed this baby's maternity photos, some maternity pin-up photos for his momma, his birth, and his newborn photos - it's so awesome I was able to photograph his first bluebonnet portraits!
